The eight turbine onshore Hill of Braco development has received written objection from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) for potential disruption to the Air Defence radar at RAF Buchan.
RAF Buchan is located approximately 5 miles from the Aberdeenshire project, and developers PNE Wind UK Ltd are continuing to consult the MOD about the proposed effects and trying to find an acceptable solution.
If this was not enough to contend with, the MOD have also announced that the eight turbines would be responsible for a level of unacceptable interference to a nearby meteorological (MET) radar.
