Technology and consulting giant IBM have secured a contract to improve the energy efficiency of UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) buildings. The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), responsible for the management of MoD estates, will use IBM’s TRIRIGA software to monitor how efficiently its buildings are being used and update IT equipment.
Military barracks, training grounds and bases are amongst the total $36 billion worth of DIO global infrastructure being assessed. The upgrade will be launched throughout April 2014.
