The Independent on Sunday (IoS) have revealed plans for a potential four runway airport to the West of Heathrow. Possible locations are in Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
The IoS report that the airport, estimated to cost £40 – £60 billion, is being planned by a group of currently anonymous UK businesses trying to negotiate financial backing from Chinese Sovereign wealth funds.
