The Dudgeon and Race Bank projects being giving the go-ahead will add over 1GW to the offshore wind capacity of the UK. This is a step in the right direction to achieve the UK Government’s Roadmap goal of up to 18GW of offshore wind capacity ready by 2020.
Both developments will be installed off of the Norfolk coast, and will take the UK’s offshore capacity (operational, under construction or consented) close to 6.6GW.
Pager Power undertook assessments in the planning stages of Dudgeon so are particularly pleased to see it gain consent.
