Overview

The original aim of the glint and glare guidance was to produce a standardised methodology for PV developers, planners and stakeholders to follow, adding clarity to a previously unfamiliar planning issue.

The guidance document has been well received by the industry since its first edition back in 2017. In 2022, we released the fourth edition, which expanded and improved upon the guidance provided in earlier editions. At the time of writing, Pager Power had undertaken 1,300 glint and glare assessments, with this number now reaching more than 1,800 up until the beginning of 2026. Pager Power’s guidance is therefore the most comprehensive guidance document published worldwide on the glint and glare and is backed by unparalleled assessment experience.

We are continually drawing from our experience in order to refine and improve the methodology to ensure that stakeholders’ and clients’ concerns are always understood and assessed appropriately.

When Will the Fifth Edition be Published?
