Wind Energy Network has published an article detailing about Pager Power’s involvement in Fewcott wind farm’s Public Inquiry.
Company chairman Mike Watson used his expertise to give suitable evidence for discharging the radar and aviation planning conditions relating to the Fewcott project. The conditions were specified by nearby London Oxford Airport to minimise wind farm interference impacts on the Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR). Numerous radar mitigation methods were considered, and three were shortlisted:
1. Employing a Transponder Mandatory Zone (TMZ)
2. A Non-Auto Initiation Zone (NAIZ)
3. Radar Blanking
