We started undertaking glint and glare assessments over seven years ago and at the beginning we would never have thought that we would eventually complete 400 … and counting!
Developing Pager Power’s own glint and glare model has been key to this achievement. Over the years the model has been continually improved, with new improvements coming soon.
We have also written our own Glint and Glare Assessment Guidance, which is available here. This is now in its second edition, with the third edition due for later in 2019.
Over the 400, we have completed assessments for a number of developers and stakeholders, including airports and planning authorities. The most unusual receptors we have assessed are horses (and the potential impact upon equine activity) and chickens in poultry sheds.
With solar once again picking up pace in the UK, and more and more countries looking to solar photovoltaic technology, we are predicting the completion of 500 assessments in the not to distance future!
If you have any questions about glint and glare feel free to give us a call, or if you require a free proposal, please also get in touch. We are here to help.
