Our solar roof has generated over 1000 kilowatt hours over the winter months. This is equivalent to the energy in 1750 Big Macs, the electricity used in a typical home over nearly four months or over 520 kilogrammes of carbon dioxide.
At our latitude solar radiation is much higher in summer than in winter because the sun is out for longer and rises higher in summer. This means we can expect much more solar generation in the coming months and over the coming years.
We hve undertaken a number of glint and glare studies to determine when reflections from solar panels could be a nuisance to pilots of aircraft and other sensitive receptors
