When is a television and radio reception survey required?
There are typically two survey types: 1) a baseline reception survey, which is undertaken to understand the baseline signal quality at a given location, and 2) a post-construction survey, which is completed to either re-evaluate the new baseline or to investigate an interference complaint.
A survey may be required where, due to a project’s size and scale, existing broadcast signals may be affected. It is important to understand early the likelihood of interference materialising so that you can put processes in place to manage mitigation complaints and budgets.
How are television and radio reception impacts assessed?
