During the last year the wind farm radar issue has been growing in the US. According to the New York Times, wind farm radar interference concerns raised by US military and aviation stakeholders caused disruption to approximately 9GW of proposed developments, in 2009.
It should be noted that during the same year approximately the 9GW of wind generated energy was actually built. The information is based on a member survey by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
