Tuesday 11th September 2012 at 15:30 BST saw the wind farms of the UK generate 3.36GW of electricity, a figure near to the current country record of 3.8GW set three months previously.
This data comes from National Grid, the electric transmission operators of the UK. Even though Tuesday’s output was not record breaking, it still equated to 9% of the generation mix for that day.
