March 23, 2011 Admin

The latest release of Pager Power Online includes the Obstruction Assessment and an adjustment with regard to the layout of the online system.

The Obstruction Assessment

The Obstruction Assessment plots the Protected Surfaces or Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) around a licensed airfield based on ICAO guidelines and indicates whether these are infringed by tall constructions like wind turbines, chimneys and cranes. If tall infrastructure breaches these surface, it can be an airspace hazard.

The assessment can also be run in accordance with FAR part 77 and UK CAA CAP 168.

It indicates where proposed developments are located compared to these surfaces in 2 dimensions. It is available worldwide. A later version of this product (coming in the near future) will analyse whether surfaces are infringed in 3 dimensions.

Get more out of your assessment by adding an expert commentary. The price for both report is £255.00 exc VAT.

Pager Power Online User Interface Update

Alterations have been made with regard to the user interface of Pager Power’s online system. The new tab design at the top of the screen have been changed in order to accommodate the latest new product and future products, whilst making selecting the desired report more convenient.

The Radar/Aviation tab house six reports; The Aviation Risk Assessment (previously known as the Aviation Risk Report), Radar Line of Sight Assessment, Radar Area Assessment, Radar Detectability Calculation, Aviation Risk Data and the Obstruction Assessment (previously known as the Aerodrome Protected Surfaces Report).

The other tabs are for future releases which will include Communications and TV.
