One hundred and forty one turbines now turning, the London Array offshore project has become the largest operational wind farm in the world. With thirty four turbines still yet to be set live, the Kentish development will power over half a million homes.
The development previously had concerns from Manston Airport over impacts on the radar. Wind farm radar interference is not a new phenonmenon, and the turbine effects needed to be mitgated. Pager Power advised on the mitigation cost reduction management for a new radar at the airport.
The London Array came about through combined work from DONG Energy, E.ON and Masdar.
